I believe in the importance of vision and passion. Sometimes, I wonder if it's all I'm passionate about: the idea of vision and passion. In the Bible, the apostle Paul writes,
"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)I equate faith with trust ("the substance of things hoped for"), hope with vision (the anti-status quo virtue, the power to see things as they are and believe in the possibility of something better), and love with passion. I'll break these apart in future posts, but very little is more important to me than faith, hope, and love, trust, vision, and passion. And of these, passion is the best.
This is not my first, second, or even tenth blog. Well, maybe my tenth. The internet is littered with my angsty pubescent thoughts and a Seth hater would find no shortage of ammunition online to mock me if she were willing to look.
Most recently, I have had 2 blogs--a "personal" blog for espousing my various and sundry opinions and a "creative writing" blog for archiving my poems, stories, and other creative piece--but both have been mostly neglected for the past several years. Recent posts have mostly amounted to apologies for not posting and promises to post more. Rather than continue that trend, I have decided to start fresh with a new blog.
In this blog, I intend to carefully dissect all of my passions and visions and the ideas of passion and vision themselves.
Possible future topics:
